From the beginning of the
twentieth century, tea's cultivation started in Iran and Turkey. Before 1280,
Hejri Shamsi tea's cultivation had not currency in Iran and ancient Iranian were
drinking coffee, instead tea, because of these reason modern teahouses
protected their classical name, which was coffee house in1280 hejri shamsi
corresponding to 1901 A.D,because of Iran government's attachment to tea's
cultivation in country, commission was given to Mirza Kashefo Alsaltane
Chaykar,which was in that time Iran consul general in India, to learning the
manner of tea's cultivation. Deceased Chaykar succeeded to learn tea's
cultivation techniques, after duration of efforts and labors on the field in
India. Then the Indian government agreement brought about two thousand saplings
to Iran. After many times of effort, research and examination, he found that the
best place to cultivate tea is Lahijan. After that the Deceased Chaykar began to
cultivate tea in this field with a lot of difficulties and fortunately he
obtained flavor tea for them. |
